The Story
A mysterious, unseen man; a palatial mansion seemingly beset by specters; and
two impressionable children under the care of an inexperienced young governess, possibly
delusional - these elements form the basis for Henry James's traditional Victorian
ghost story. Or is it more than that, delving into deeper psychological issues?
MPR's Brandi Parisi offers up this plot synopsis.
