Sherpa - Hybrid
April 7, 2003

Listen (How to Listen)

(theme)

Dale Connelly: This section of our show is brought to you by the Sherpa from Intimida. It's a mighty big car. And now your Sherpa can be a mighty earth-friendly car too!

Jim Ed Poole: The wife wanted our next car to be easier on the environment. She thought we should buy ... (chuckle) ... a Dust Mite. It's ... a ... cute gasoline/electric hybrid ... you know ... an upholstered roller skate ... a phone booth on wheels.

I'm a rather large guy ... there's no way I can fit in a Dust Mite. I told her I needed a Sherpa! I thought we were deadlocked ... until I found out the Sherpa has an optional hybrid engine!

DC: The Sherpa hybrid is like a standard Sherpa—with a few changes. At cruising speed, the gas engine works normally. But on steep inclines and accelerating from a dead stop, the hybrid steam plant kicks in for an extra boost!

(sfx: fire and steam blast)
(sfx: peel out)

The same kind of power source that moved the big locomotives of the westward expansion now helps the Sherpa cut its gas consumption in half, while increasing its profile times three!

JEP: My wife loves the mileage, and I love the power and the looks! My Sherpa Steam Hybrid comes with a fully loaded coal car trailing behind, so I cut a larger, more impressive profile ...

I help the economy of West Virginia ... and the kids get great exercise shoveling! No more lying around in the back seat complaining on those long car trips! And you should see their arms!

DC: See the Gas/Steam Sherpa at your local Intimida dealer. It's a mighty big car!

(sfx: steam locomotive whistle)
(sfx: screech to a halt)
