Fairy Queen
Listener Submission: Most Unusual Wedding Music Story

Rick and I love Celtic music, and I could not possibly use the same-old, same-old (as lovely as Vivaldi and Pachelbel are). So, I finally chose for the procession Clannad's "Fairy Queen" with my attendants walking through tulle-covered white fairy lights in the garden. It turned out to be exactly the effect I wanted. For my part of the procession I chose a wonderful Renaissance-sounding piece from Adrian Wagner's Holy Spirit and the Holy Grail CD titled "Mary Magdalene." It was dramatic and highly meaningful for myself and my sister, who almost fainted when she found out I was using it.

The only piece left was our recessional, which we chose Huey Lewis' "Happy To Be Stuck With You," which has been as close to being "our song" as any other after our 17-year courtship.
