As Hectors campaign gains momentum, Ajax invites Hector to a fashionable speakeasy. A revue dancer, performing a female impersonation, startles Hector with his easy abandon. Helen pleads with Hector that her love is real, but Hector will not admit that he still loves her. As Ajax outlines another fraudulent publicity stunt, Hector rushes out. Helen finds Hector in a coffee shop and tells him that Ajax has manipulated her. Jason enters and attempts to take Helen home. Before they leave, Hector admits he loves Helen.
