Odes to Joy home

The first time I set eyes on the lovely creature that walked into 9th-grade history that morning, I said to myself, she will be my wife someday. We dated through high school and college. I was a music major, so when we began the wedding plans the music choices were left to me. The gift I gave my wife was our own wedding march. My education and music background paid off and I composed what my wife and I thought was the "best song in the world."

Since our wedding August 8, 1970, I have played it at my mother-in-law's second wedding and my oldest son's wedding. There is another son getting married in September and who knows, maybe he and his bride to be will want "dad and mom's song" too.
