Days Together
Listener Submission: Most Meaningful
Wedding Music Story
When we got married in July of 1997, my husband was a graduate
student in composition from Indiana University. We chose a
poem, which he set to music. My dad worked very hard to learn
the piece (he is a "good Lutheran church choir member,"
and this piece was not typical of the Lutheran church choir
repetoire!) and performed it during our ceremony. I was proud
of my husband, Doug, for writing such a wonderful piece and
for my dad, Mike, who gave the premiere of "Days Together"
at his daughter's wedding.
