Odes to Joy home

We were married in Feb. of 1974. I wanted to have a different wedding march than the usual traditional marches.

We had been listening to a lot of Emerson, Lake & Palmer when we came across their album Pictures at an Exhibition by Mussorgsky. I loved the Promenade. So I decided that was my music for my wedding. The only problem was the organist had no clue how to play this piece on the organ. I went in search of the sheet music, found it, and gave it to the organist. He was a good sport about it all and did an excellent job reproducing the music.

Everytime I hear someone do Pictures at an Exhibition I remember our special day. I think of that "Promenade" as my own special music.
